We ordered the special which is a 1000g tomahawk steak, it comes with chips (oven chips not fresh cut). Ordered 2 sides, one came, and it was a dish we didn't order so had to send it back. The other side was forgotten. There was a very long wait and the steak still came undercooked, raw in the middle. The way they dealt with this was to take the steak back, put it on the grill a few more minutes and then serve it to us again. Again there was a long wait, but the steak was cooked once it was returned. They took £25 off the bill for the inconvenience. There are many good reviews of this restaurant, so I'm sure I just had a bit of bad luck on my visit but I can only judge from my own experience. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and certainly won't be going back.

We pre booked for 16 people & they handled a large group very well. We were positioned in a sheltered garden extension (well heated and decorated) The menu was limited slightly due to the larger group but all food was fantastic. From the starters - the best olives we have ever had!!! Mainly steaks but worth ordering off the usual - the chicken was delicious and lamb was a huge portion! They even custom made & decorated a birthday cheese cake. We will be back again for the next birthday occasion :)

Overpriced and Underwhelmed Restaurant looks great from the outside and pictures. On our arrival we were escorted out the back to a covered outside space with heaters and a few flies and no ambiance whatsoever and grubby. Was really looking forward to it so this was not a good start. The waitress was nice, and starter was great so we thought it might not be too bad. The medium steak was well done (they did knock money off for us) The chips were deep fried – equivalent to the cheap frozen kind. The lad that cleared the table gathered all the knifes and forks from the starter then said you would need these for the main course! then dealt them back to us at random! He was clearly inexperienced – he picked up the cutlery by the eating ends !!! and we watched him push another tables food across the plate he was carrying with his fingers. When he put our main course on the table it flicked juice from the steak over my arm !!! For the prices they charge you expect good food, service and nice environment. Sadly we felt it fell short on all three. We won’t be going back.

Nice and busy place you can tell it is one of The place to go and have something after a long day, the food quality is good The ambiance in the restaurant and the staff are efficiently welcome and helpful, we did not have any booking but Martin doubled check if he can squeeze us somewhere and make us wait a little.. we don’t regret waiting, The Argentine steakhouse is one the restaurant I can go again and again to eat. Martin was a great help and was around if needed, really professional all of you guys (waitresses and chef included). I recommend it ++, big time

We had a Groupon, it was ok but would suggest ordering starters if you are hungry as the 500g steak for 2 is quite small and you will definitely not get all you can eat chips as it would take ages. It's a nice little restaurant with good food though.

In Brighton for the weekend and one of our party booked this place for an evening meal. Wasn't quite sure what to expect but was very impressed by the food quality and service. Joselyn, our table attendant, was knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations on quantities of sides to share. Food was excellent quality and mirrored the service we received. It has a limited lager / beer selection but that shouldn't put you off. I had the smaller of the fillet steaks cooked to medium and it was excellent, although in terms of fillet steak prices it is high end price. Overall it is definitely a place ro visit. If I have one area for improvement I would suggest the facilities (toilets) could do with updating. Overall 4.5 stars and definitely go back.

Lovely, accommodating staff even when very busy. Food is lovely and just proper steak without any faff. The front area that is usually the only part open can be a little crowded on a busy night but I don't think this affected the night at all. Favourite place for dinner in Brighton.
